Junior Rugby at Hemel Stags:
Rugby League is growing ever more popular within the local community.. mainly due to the current development plan.

The purpose of the development plan is to achieve the following: Significantly increase participation in the sport at youth level.To increase the number of qualified coaches To expand the volunteer sector (non-coaching) To increase the number of match officials To lead to greater participation and excellence at senior level.
Hemel Stags are heavily involved in the expansion of Rugby League into the local schools. To find out if your school offers the opportunity to play please email hemelstags@aol.com If you are interested in playing Rugby League please speak to the relevant member of staff at your school.
The Stags are currently involved with six schools in the Dacorum Borough. These are Adeyfield, Astley Cooper, Cavendish, JFK, Kings Langley and Longdean.
Each of these schools receive coaching from the Stags both as part of the school’s curriculum and as an extra-curricular activity at lunch times and after school.
All of these schools will enter the Hemel Hempstead town Championship and the National Powergen Champion Schools Cup, the finals of this tournament will be played at Wembley Stadium as a curtain raiser to the Powergen Cup Final 2007.
Hemel Stags currently run three Age Groups for Rugby League:
Under 13's, Under 14's and Under 16's
