The Bank Holiday weekend saw reduced actvity by the Stags sides with only the Reserves and U13's being in action.

Hemel Stags 'A' travelled up to Hitchin to take on North Herts Crusaders in the quarter-finals of the East of England Cup. Despite traffic conjestion delaying the Stags arrival, the Stags were in control througout the game with a 40-34 victory taking them into the semi finals.

The Stags rushed to a 10-0 lead but midway through the first half Crusaders clawed back a 16-14 lead. This proved to be shortlived and Hemel resumed their asendancy  ultimately scoring eight tries from Ash Gingell(2), Erik Grimley, Lewis Swindells, Matt Cannon Jnr, Sam Jolly, Will Bennett and  Mitch Vincent.

Ther match saw a welcome return to Stags colors of former League 1 Captain Mitch Vincent who showed he has not lost any of his pace despite not having played for 15 months. Undoubted highlight for the Stags, though, was the fact that one-third of the squad could not consume alcoholic drinks after the match without breaking licensing laws which is a credit to Stags' Community Manager Shane Hurley's youth development programme.

The Stags' undefeated U13's travelled to South West London to take on Rutlish Raiders and were relieved to come aay with a 36-36 draw.

The weekend also saw the arrival of American  Pierce Armstrong from the Delaware Black Foxes rugby league club in thr USA who will be making his debut for the Stags at Bedford this Saturday.
