Dean has recently taken on the dual role of CEO and Director of Rugby of our Betfred National League 1 team.

He is responsible for all administrative and rugby matters relating to the League 1 team

Dean played for  York and Barrow before becoming Head Coach of Gateshead Thunder

From there he moved onto Sheffield Eagles in a fitness & conditioning role before becoming their Head of Youth Development & Performance.

In 2013 he coached Jamaica in the RL World Cup qualified having played six times for Jamaica.






Jack was brought up in Hemel Hempstead and attended John F Kennedy School in Chaulden where he immediately showed an appitude for rugby league at schoolboy level.

He captained the Stags England Schools U16 team in 1996 and played Academy rugby league  for the Stags in 1997-8 before moving to Sheffield to take up a place at Sheffield Hallam University.

From there he joined Sheffield Eagles, becoming their captain, and played for Scotland in the Rugby League World

Medical Point of Contact

Andy has worked at Hemel Stags for 6 years and is a key cog in the workings of the medical department.  He is always the first person to turn up for training/matches and always the last person to leave.  There is nothing that Andy cannot do from strapping to coaching to water boy to kit man; as a qualified sport rehabilitator, coach and teacher; Andy is able to turn his hand at whatever is required of him.

Lynne McClurg

Sport Rehabilitator

After graduating from Middlesex University in 2011 Lynne has been working at Hemel Stags for 5years where she is part of our excellent medical team providing treatment and First Aid for all levels of our club.  Lynne has vast experience in sport having worked in rugby league, rugby union and in football.  As a keen sports person herself she is more than aware how important rehab and injury prevention is to our players.
